I asked my model what advice she has for girls our age. Her response was, "The best advice anyone can give is as simple as to not care what other people have to say about you. All that matters is what you think of yourself. The only opinion that matters is the one you have of yourself." This matches the photograph because she looks happy and confident in herself. Her positivity and authenticity shines through and is really captured by the sunlight.
My favorite part is how I was able to capture her smile and the glimmer in her eyes. Her smile really makes the photo memorable and pleasing to the viewer. The glimmer in her eyes makes her look innocent and carefree which was the point of the photograph. In general, I like the overall look of the photo and the way I shot it.
Next time I would add a diffuser so that the light is not as harsh on her face and I would try to experiment with various backgrounds. Overall I would just try to improve the harsh light in the photo.
Glows:
The direction of light is strong and hits the models face well. The background is also appropriately blurred and is able to complement the model's face.
Grows:
I could crop the background better nest time so that the eye is not distracted to the window and wall. I could also fix the shadows on the model's neck.
