What did you Learn?
I learned that you don't always need a camera to take beautifully detailed photos. I learned that even the simplest looking photos can look beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I mainly learned that the process makes one appreciate and enjoy the picture that much more.
Why did you choose the objects you did?
I chose the paper because I was curious to see how the opacity would reflect on the blue I also ripped it because it gave it a raw and petal-like look. I chose the grass-like plants because they had very pretty textures and patterns that I thought would look very nice on the cyanotype.
Did the objects you choose on the cyanotype as you envisioned?
Yes, the plants looked like what I envisioned. However, the paper looked quite different than I had thought, I had not thought that it was so transparent.
What would you do differently if you did this again?
I would use more plants that had interesting and unique outlines. I would also try citrus fruit because they have very beautiful outlines and textures.
