What challenges did you encounter photographing and editing this image?

I had difficulties trying to find the perfect lighting and balance between all elements of the picture. When editing this image I had difficulties with trying to make sure all parts of the image had detail and that nothing was too dark or too light. I did not want to lose detail at any part of the photo.   

How did you overcome these challenges?

I overcame these challenges by trusting in myself and my artistic ability. I also used a lot of trial and error when editing and finding the perfect way to capture the landscape.

How did you add depth to your image?

I added depth to my image by making sure I had enough foreground to complement the background. I made sure the tree had a lot of detail and complemented the bridge in the background. I also used the bush to help frame the ocean and sky. 

Do you like your image in black and white or in color more?

I like my photograph black and white more because it looks more pleasing and calming to the eye. I think black and white images look more professional and are better looking compared to color photos which can be harder to control when it comes to aesthetics.

What would you do differently if you did it again? What would make it better?

Next time I would try and make sure all aspects of the photo have detail and do not lose visibility if they are too dark or too bright.  I also want tmake sure I do a better job of having a full tonal range that makes the image pleasing and nice to look at.
